Growing existing markets and developing new markets for the Pink Lady® brand is a key priority for APAL and aligns with our commitment to add genuine value to licensees.
Southeast Asia provides a gateway to grow the Pink Lady® brand and this was highlighted at the recent Asia Fruit Logistica event in Hong Kong. Each year we see annual growth in activity at the Pink Lady® stand, various stakeholders use the space to meet with exporters, importers and the like from across the region. Attendance at Asia Fruit Logistica shows continued interest in the brand which poses enormous opportunity within Southeast Asia and new markets there. It was great to see the new Pink Lady® artwork on display, the new, modern look is impressive and in line with our future direction.
We’re continuing to develop key relationships in China and are currently working through and reviewing the strategy.
I’m looking forward to attending the IPLA meeting in early October, it’s a great platform for sharing ideas and to learn from each other. Key members of the APAL management team will be in attendance which provides an opportunity for them to meet the wider Pink Lady® community in person. This year APAL Legal Counsel, Amy Larking; and Chief Financial Officer, Beth Schofield will be attending the meeting alongside Strategic & Systems Implementation Manager, Alvin Kee; Head of Commercial & Brand Development, Craig Chester; Head of Global Quality & Innovation, Andrew Mandemaker; and Director Global Development, Andrew Hooke.
Please make sure you introduce yourselves to the new APAL staff and make them feel welcome during the meetings, use this opportunity to meet the people behind the scenes who are servicing and assisting you and your businesses.
I am also pleased to announce the APAL team continues to grow with a new Head of Communications & Media, Lisa Malone; and new Head of Government Relations & Advocacy, Jeremy Griffith who both joined the APAL team in September. Lisa brings a global communications experience to the network and Jeremy’s role will include international government relations.
