Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2019

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year celebrates the very best of food photography and film.

Affiliation with Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year provides global exposure for the Pink Lady® brand. Since launching in 2011 over 50,000 entries have been received from more than 60 countries worldwide.

Open to everyone from professional to amateur photographers young and old, there are 23 different categories to enter including Pink Lady® Apple a Day which was introduced in 2014.

Finalists receive worldwide coverage for their images and films, exclusive invitations to events associated with the awards, an opportunity to receive prize money and in some cases additional work.

Following the official Awards ceremony, the winning images travel across the United Kingdom and in some cases further afield. For the past two years, the award-winning images have been exhibited at the world-renowned Les Rencontres d’Arles photography festival in Arles, France. The display is hosted by the division of the festival which celebrates food photography from all over the world, gaining further exposure for this selection of talented photographers.

Now in its eighth year, the Awards are overseen by head judge and award-winning food photographer, David Loftus, who has worked with the likes of Jamie Oliver and Nathan Outlaw. David is also the judge of Pink Lady® Snaps, an Instagram competition in association with the Awards. A winning image is selected each month and entered into an annual draw, with the overall winner receiving an invite to the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards evening.

To evolve the Awards in 2018, Olive magazine came on board to host a bespoke podcast and Facebook Live event with David. The podcast paid homage to the growth and popularity of food photography and hosted a discussion with David, founder Caroline Kenyon, Olive editor Laura Rowe and food critic George Reynolds.

Entries to the Awards are open until Sunday, 10 February 2019 and more information can be found on the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year website.
