Pink Lady® celebrates the Southern Hemisphere harvest with retailer promotion

The UK’s number one fresh produce brand, Pink Lady® apples, celebrated the start of the Southern Hemisphere harvest by offering one winner the chance to win a garden makeover worth £4,000.

From the 17th June to the 23rd June, consumers were able to purchase a promotional pack of Pink Lady® apples from Morrisons, Aldi, Ocado and the Co-Operative. Each Pink Lady® pack had an on-pack competition sticker containing details of how to enter.

For the prize, Pink Lady® teamed up with The Horticultural Trade Association to offer £4,000 worth of gardening vouchers to transform a garden to kick-start the summer season. In addition, ten runners up will win a pair of Pink Lady® deckchairs.

The on-pack competition is supported via email marketing to the Pink Lady® database, which has over 84,000 subscribers, as well as targeted digital advertising and social media advertising.

Lynn Shaw, Marketing Manager at Pink Lady® apples, said: “We launched this exciting summer retailer promotion to celebrate the start of the Southern Hemisphere harvest by rewarding our loyal customers.

“In the past year, we’ve had some brilliant retailer promotions including an on-pack giveaway to win a trip to Australia, so we know it’s something fans of our brand look out for. We enjoy working closely with retailers to offer our loyal customers surprising and delightful rewards and we hope this current promotion sparks joy this summer in the fresh produce aisle.”
